FIRST DAY-8.5.06

everyone of us gathered in school at the basketball field. it was rather like moody. cause everyone didn't want to leave our comfort zone. and me, especially after hearing about the NO TOILETS thing, i definitely wasn't looking forward to the camp. i slept on the bus during the whole trip. i was freaking tired. and on the plus side, the bus is damn confortable. ROCKS. i didn't want to leave it. it is my only comfort zone at that point of time. but i reminded myself repeatedly that im here on a camp.

so yeah...had lunch.. and next was ice breakers and some games. i liked to introduction part. the one dot two dots three dots thingy. and because guppy got three dots, he had to do a fish dance. it was COOL. my group got quite HIGH. and we bonded very easily. we did things very fast and haha, won roti in games.

in the night we had solo walk in the woods. i was really really very scared. i didnt know what to expect. and i didn't want to know. so deciding that though this may be a life time experience, i rather forfeit it and not be scared for the rest of my life. and i walked with felicia tay. the walk was quite long. and spooky too. felicia and i held hands very tightly and we did not talk to each other at all. i could like hear things and see some things. it was very spooky. and at some checkpoints, instructors would ask our number. felicia- 41. me- 43. after the second checkpoint, the instructors separarted us, and i had to walk alone. i think i had never walked so fast in my whole life before. AH.

sleeping in the tent. with 5 other people. jazreen, samantha teo, cynthia, jolene lai, another girl whom i didnt her name, and ME. at first it was freaking hot but later in the morning, it was freaking cold. so yeah. wierd. i slept at the side in a tent with red spots. i was scared that insects would crawl into our tents and crawl into my body, so i sprayed insect repellant all over the tent. though i think it doesn't work, but it definitely works for my heart.

i must talk about the toilets. and guess what? my freaking brother lied to me about peeing in the bushes and bathing with only white sheets. i hate him. ok, there are toilets for people to pee in and bathe in. so the first night was quite ok, I BATHED! and i enjoyed bathing. haha. i must always remember to enjoy bathing on the first night. cause the next few nights, you wouldn't even want to see the state of the toilet. YUCKS. later then i shall talk about it.

i got sick on the first night. it sucks. i've gotten the flu bug. and now im worse. sigh. plus, i didn't bring a windbreaker and tissue paper. so i was like sneezing onto the sleeve of my shirt. not that i want to. it's so disgusting.


so that's how my first day at KOTA TINGGI was like.
